Every year we have the pleasure of raising awareness of the IKEA Soft Toys of Education Campaign. A campaign that sees IKEA donate โฌ1 for every teddy sold to support educational programmes run by UNICEF and Save the Children.
To spread the word this year we made a series of films called Teddy Talks. Short videos of wise children spreading their ideas as they talk to IKEA teddies.
These amazing kids gave us the lowdown on subjects like how to be a happy adult,ย how to find your imagination and why itโs so important for parents and children to play together more. So far our inspirational speakers have generated over 100k views and rising.
Teddy Talks also seemed to capture the mediaโs imagination. The Daily Mail picked up the story twiceย and the Daily Mirror called the videos “adorable”.
Understandably the talks also went down well with parenting titles with 20 publications picking it up.
Never ones to shy away from sweating our assets we made sure the message around the good cause landed its fair share of broadcast pick up too.
With a helping hand from Dr Sam Wass, the expert on the TV show The Secret Life of 4, 5 and 6 years the campaign secured multiple radio hits with the likes of Sky Radio News, Kiss FM and BBC Newcastle, to name a few.
