Some Star Wars fun with the team at RealD as we set up a little treasure hunt for the superfans and had them flocking to find us

Weโ€™re pretty big Star Wars fans here at Hope & Glory, so we were thrilled when RealD told us that they had access to some limited edition Star Wars Google Cardboards.

To celebrate the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens hitting screens in RealD 3D from the 17th December, we created a Star Wars social media-led treasure hunt across the Capital.

We popped up in six spots across London, giving Star Wars enthusiasts the chance to get their hands on the limited edition Force Awakens themed Google Cardboard.ย Consumers were encouraged to follow @RealD3DUK on Twitter to keep up to date with where the hunt was throughout the day.

Once they tracked the team down, they were asked to show one of RealD’s social media posts to claim a free VR Star Wars Google Cardboard.

The force was strong, with fans flocking to each location, and all in all, we handed out 1,500 sets!

The RealD Twitter account was abuzz with over 50,000 organic impressions generated, and at the end of the day RealD ended up with over 200 new followers on Twitter. We also generated some nice media coverage as a result, with The Video Mode and Event Magazine sharing the Star Wars love.

Yeah, we hear you – โ€œGreat, kid. Donโ€™t get cockyโ€
