Seas the day as the Airbnb team reveals the top trending UK seaside destinations

With summer staycations in full flow and a heatwave (or two) hitting the UK, there’s no better time for the Airbnb team to reveal the top trending seaside destinations in the UK – where Brits can kick back and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

Topping the list was Colwyn Bay in Wales, a destination that saw the biggest rise in Brits booking homes on the platform, followed swiftly by Bridlington in Yorkshire, Bognor Regis in West Sussex and Southend on Sea, Essex.

To help bring these places visually to life, we also worked closely with two talented UK-based artists Beca Fflur and Minnie Small to create a series of bespoke, traditional-style postcards illustrating the delights of the top ten destinations. You can take a look at these beautiful postcards here.

Media fell in love with the nostalgic element of the Great British seaside and we secured some truly stand out pieces of national coverage on Mail Online, Evening Standard, Daily Mirror, The Sun, and Daily Star Sunday in print, alongside some stunning consumer lifestyle hits on Harper’s Bazaar, Red Online, House Beautiful, Cosmopolitan and Country Living. There was also a whole host of regional coverage, achieved from the Reach PLC bomb.

Sea you there!
