From Neverland to a galaxy far, far away, the O2 team has been to Arendelle and back recently, celebrating the UK launch of Disney+ with a Space Mountain of coverage

We’re all living in a whole new world of self-isolation at the moment but the O2 team saw this endgame coming and, like the Avengers, assembled a couple of feel-good stories to help everyone let (it) go of their boredom.

With everyone staying at home, it’s easy to run out of things to watch – don’t know about you, but we feel like we completed Netflix ages ago! With hundreds of films and series available at launch, Disney Plus is the perfect way to stay entertained while you’re social distancing.

As the UK’s exclusive mobile network distributor for Disney Plus, O2 offered all their new and upgrading pay monthly customers six months access to the Mouse House’s brand new streaming service, for free.

The news went down an absolute stormtrooper, with over 100 pieces of coverage, including almost blanket national pick-up from the likes of The Sun, Daily Mirror, Daily Express and METRO. Tech media loved the news too, with the likes of T3, TechRadar and Stuff all covering the story.

That’s not all though: we used the Force to help us find the UK’s biggest Disney fan – who has her very own Cave of Wonders housing a Death Star-sized collection of memorabilia – and made her the first UK customer to be given access to Disney Plus. Cue a wave of lovely regional coverage.

It’s been an incredibly busy period for the O2 team but they’ve really gone to infinity and beyond to deliver.
