In September, Team Uber launched a truly bucket list experience; Uber Safari.
Partnering with a luxury safari game reserve in South Africa, members of the public could book a half day safari trip through the Uber app – all for just $200!
And it wasnโt just the big 5 Safari included in the bargain price, customers also got their transfers to and from Cape Town sorted for them, as well as breakfast and lunch overlooking the stunning reserve.
The once-in-a-lifetime trip was the latest in Uberโs โGo Anywhereโ series, a set of on-going campaigns that bring bucket-list, culturally-relevant experiences to consumers through the tap of a button. So far weโve managed sleigh rides in Lapland, hot air balloon adventures in Cappadocia, sea planes on the Scottish lochs and superyachts in Ibiza.
To really get the word out about the launch, the team invited 13 media from around the world in Uberโs key markets to Cape Town. There, they enjoyed some of the city’s best hotels, bars and restaurants, before they were whisked off to the game reserve to try the safari adventure for themselves before it launched to the unexpecting public, and itโs safe to say they loved it.
