We were asked to help Uber promote its multi-modal travel options, as it becomes the one-stop-shop for all things travel. You can now grab an an Uber Ride, an Uber Flight, an Uber Boat, an Uber Royal Carriage … you name it.
So when challenged to develop a global story for the brand that helped tell this story, we of course came up with … well … Uber Balloon seemed obvious really.
Setting to work, we have now officially given travelers all the help they need to tick off a bucket list bullet point with a simple click of a button as Uber users in Turkey can hail a sunrise hot air balloon ride through the Uber Reserve function in the app.
The once-in-a-lifetime ride will take riders on a one-and-a-half hour picturesque flight through the Göreme National Park in Cappadocia, known for its breathtaking views and ethereal landscapes.
Plus, to celebrate the launch and coincide with Turkey’s centenary, Uber is offering 100 free flights for the most eager of travelers.
With over 100 pieces of global coverage so far, the announcement has gone worldwide. From Daily Telegraph in the UK to Elle Italy in … er … Italy, to a mention on the Jimmy Fallon show in the US, alongside scores of pieces worldwide, it’s fair to say the story has really flown (sorry).
