We worked with The FA to invite passionate England fans from across the country to experience their first match at Wembley, capturing the genuine reactions to the stadium, the players, the goals, and the awesome experience which can only come from seeing the special spectacle for the very first time.
A rather suitable moment to put the spotlight on the fans and what the beauty of football means to them.
With Thomas Tuchel taking charge of his own first Three Lions match, anticipation for the new era of the England national team was at fever pitch. The FA wanted to mark the occasion with a special activation, giving five groups of lucky fans their very own “first game”, and there was no better place to do it than at England’s Home of Football as the new manager took his bow.
Packed with over 82,000 fans as England took on Albania in a World Cup Qualifier, Wembley was rocking as our fans stepped out into the bowl, their faces reflecting the wonder of seeing the scale of the national stadium in person.
Our fans, who were a mix of ages from nine all the way up to 73 years of age, cheered on as England enjoyed a 2-0 win. We captured every reaction, celebration and funny comment for Owned social channels, going live as soon as possible after the final whistle had blown.
Football press loved the content too, with GOAL sharing it with its combined 15M+ followers across Instagram and TikTok. The content has flown on The FA’s official pages too, reaching almost 10M views across Instagram, Facebook and X.
And, most importantly, our fans made memories that will last them a lifetime.
