What’s gold, pulled by horses and absolutely free for Londoners in the week leading up to King Charles’ crowning? The Coronation Coach on Uber of course …

The Uber team created possibly the most regal travel option to ever appear on the app – The Uber Coronation Carriage.

A near perfect replica of the King and Queen’s mode of transport used during the Coronation itself we offered it to visitors to Dulwich Park in the days leading up to the main event giving Londoners the chance to get involved in the historic day.

The team made sure that Uber’s latest transport option was announced with a spread of coverage deserving of a royal salute.

The 250 or more pieces included a write up by The Daily Telegraph’s esteemed Royal Correspondent, three Daily Mail pieces, two pieces across Metro, as well as Sky News, Time Out and print and online coverage across the Guardian.

Whilst the campaign made a splash in the UK it also went global – with a broadcast feature on Good Morning America being the highlight with coverage – as well as landing as far away as Australia on Channel 7 Sunrise, with more coverage coming in by the minute.
